Carl Mulloy

Funeral services for Carl David Mulloy are Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home chapel.

He died on Feb. 25, 2018. He was born in Dublin to his parents, Guy Handley Mulloy and Nellie Marie (Lusk) Mulloy. Carl was widowed by his first wife, Paula Jones, in 2009. They raised three children together: David, Gary and Patricia.

Carl married Pat Mulloy in 2011. She died in 2016.

Carl worked as a warehouse supervisor for Saint Gobain Abrasives for 33 ½ years. He also served in the National Guard for five years. Carl was a member of the Highland Avenue Congregational Methodist Church. He volunteered for the Salvation Army in Comanche, coached Dublin children in summer league baseball and DeLeon Little League. He was also involved with the Dublin and Cross Timbers Soccer Associations as a founding member in 1978. He became president of Dublin Little League and the Dublin Soccer Association. Carl also refereed many baseball and soccer games.

Pat Cowan

Funeral services for Patricia (Pat) Reese Cowan, 85, of Dublin will be Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Harrell Funeral Home, Dublin, with Pastor Mike Fritscher officiating.  Burial will follow at the family cemetery, On Sacred Ground, Highway 377 N. 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. 

Pat passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, due to complications from a short courageous battle with lymphoma cancer. 

She was a Christian and proud member of Cottonwood Baptist Church in Dublin.

She was born May 22, 1932, at her home-place in Newburg, Texas, to Jesse F. and Emma Mae Perkins Reese. 

She married Rich Wade Cowan on Nov. 11, 1950. She graduated from Brownwood Beauty College and had “Pat’s Beauty Shop” in Dublin for many years. She and Wade were owners of the Hoka Hey Foundry in Dublin.

Norma Parks

Norma Clayton Parks, 84, of Lingleville, died on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, in Lingleville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 at the Dublin First United Methodist Church with Bill Keele and Ken Lunsford officiating.  Burial will follow at Lingleville East End Cemetery.   

Norma was born on Dec. 19, 1933, in Dublin to the late Elmer C. and Kathrine Chatham Clayton. She attended public school in Dublin and graduated from Dublin High School, class of 1952. Norma married Jack Parks on Nov. 5, 1955, in the Bunyan Community.  

Norma was active in her church, Dublin First United Methodist, teaching Sunday school. She was a member of the Lingleville Friendship Club, American Legion Auxillary and a lifelong resident of Erath County.  Norma was a homemaker.

Carroll Pack

Robert Carroll Pack was born on Dec. 13, 1926, and raised in Erath County to parents Robert E. Pack and Myrtle Stone Pack. After living 91 full years, he died in Stephenville on Feb. 5, 2018.

He joined the Army during WWII prior to the dropping of the atomic bomb and served as part of the occupying force in Japan. After returning home, he married Wanda Gay Pittman on May 15, 1952, and went into the dairy business. Eventually they purchased their own 350-acre farm on Bowman Ridge, between Stephenville and Dublin, where they raised their family and lived until his passing.

For more than 40 years he served as a deacon at Greens Creek Baptist Church. 

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myrtle; his brothers Leon, Thomas and Lewis and brother-in-law Bill Sharp.

Shirley Jennings

Shirley June Jennings, 82, died on Feb. 9, 2018. 

Funeral service was Tuesday, Feb 13, 2018, at Harrell Funeral Home. Interment followed in Old Dublin Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born in Dublin to her parents, Ellis Winn Northcutt and Voyle Etta (Daniel) Northcutt, on Aug. 9, 1935.

Shirley wed Clinton Eugene Jennings on May 4, 1953. She worked as a beautician until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Jennings, on April 25, 2000. Also preceding, her husband, Clinton, on April 25, 2014.

She will be remembered by her children, Sheran Weible of Dublin, Tanguinn Allen of Dublin, Ronald Jennings of Dublin and many other relatives and friends.

Thomas Weatherford

Thomas Howard Weatherford, 86, died Feb. 8, 2018.

Memorial services were Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Harrell Memorial Chapel.

He was born in Holly Hill, South Carolina, on Jan. 30, 1932, to his parents, Addie Ernest Weatherford and Addie Lee (Taylor) Weatherford.

Thomas married JoAnn on June 16, 1955, in Allendale, South Carolina. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and worked for the aircraft testing company, Calspan, as a master instrument technician.
Thomas’ death was preceded by his parents, his wife, JoAnn Weatherford and one child.

George Robinson

George Julius Robinson, 85, died on February 6, 2018. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Harrell Memorial Chapel.

Interment will be Tuesday February the 20th at Texas State Veterans Cemetery it Abilene Texas at 11 a.m.

George was born in Arcola, Ill., to his parents Laurence Robinson and Venus Irene (Trotter) Robinson, on Sept. 5, 1932.

He retired from the military. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean era and Vietnam War. Once back home, he worked as a truck driver where he found much joy! He was also a member of the Comanche County Cowboy Church.

George was preceded in death by his parents.

He will be remembered by his daughter - Carla  Maddox of Dublin, Texas; his sons - Tommy G. Robinson of Okla., Scott Robinson of Fla., and Clarence Bramlett of Fla.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Lynn Holden

Lynn Holden, 78, of Dublin, died Monday, February 5, 2018, in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Chad Nicholson, officiating.  Burial will follow at New Dublin Live Oak Cemetery.

Lynn was born on October 10, 1939 in Comanche to the late B. C. and Linda Thompson Holden.  He married Carolyn Colborn on January 2, 1965 in Dublin.  She preceded him in death on April 9, 1999.  Lynn was a rancher, and served during Korea in the U. S. Army.  He served as a past president of the Jaycees, and supported and worked with students in FFA.  He has lived the past 53 years in Dublin.

Survivors include his son, Timothy Holden of Dublin; daughter, Elizabeth and husband Trey Bell of Mineral Wells; granddaughter, Colby Jo Bell of Mineral Wells; brother, Eddie and wife Pat Holden of Comanche; sisters, Ginger Shafer of Andrews and Brona Lou Brown of Coleman; and companion, Dorothy Miller of Dublin

Elaine Haskell

Elaine LaBaume Haskell, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2018 in Midland. She was born August 14, 1928, in Dublin, Texas, to William Wiley and Claude Beatrice (Branum) LaBaume. She grew up on a farm and attended school in Dublin. After graduating high school Elaine attended secretarial school in Fort Worth, Texas. While there, she met Robert Everett Haskell, a “Yankee” from Massachusetts who was stationed in Fort Worth while attending naval medical training. Elaine and Bob were married on June 26, 1947 in Weatherford, Texas.

Lazaro Jimenez

Lazaro Garcia Jimenez, 83, died on Feb. 1, 2018.

Funeral Service was Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at Harrell Memorial Chapel.Interment followed in Dublin Liveoak Cemetery

He was born on Aug. 5, 1934 in Leon Guzman, Durango, Mexico, to his parents, Santos Garcia and Victoriana (Jimenez) Garcia.

Lazaro met and married Blasa Medina de Garcia on August 27, 1954, in Villa Nazareno, Durango, Mexico. Together, they had fourteen children.

Lazaro was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Emmanual. He worked maintenance at Rio Leche Dairy.
