Hit-and-run victim ID'd

Dubliner Isabel Macias is the name of the victim in the hit-and-run late Oct. 18, the Erath County Sheriff's Office confirmed this morning.

Raul Jimenez, who has been arrested for intoxication manslaughter, is accused of hitting Macias at the Dublin city limits, on 219 North near Highway 377.

Macias was born on Feb. 12, 1982, in Mexico to Miguel Angel Macias and Margarita (Prado) Macias. She was married to Oscar Ruiz Robles and spent her life as a homemaker.

The Erath County Sheriff's Department reports that Jimenez, 22, is accused of intentionally hitting Macias with his vehicle.

Jimenez has been booked into the Erath County Jail at a bond of $500,000 and an ICE hold. An ICE hold is when the sheriff's department is instructed by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement department to detain a foreign national and transfer the person to ICE's custody at the end of the jail term.
